
Bisons Add RHP Chad Beck to Bullpen

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP CHAD BECK has been promoted to the club from Double-A New Hampshire. INF LANCE ZAWADZKI has been placed on the Herd's disabled list, retroactive to May 3.
Beck, 28, has served as New Hampshire's closer this year and has converted six of his seven save opportunities. Overall, the righty is 1-0 with a 2.87 ERA in 12 outings with the Fisher Cats. He allowed just 14 hits and struck out 25 batters in 15.2 innings of work. The 25 strikeouts represent 37% of the batters he has faced this year.
Beck split the 2012 season between Triple-A Las Vegas and Toronto. After posting a 2-0 record, a 1.31 ERA and 18 saves for manager Marty Brown's 51s squad, he appeared in 14 games with the Blue Jays with a 6.32 ERA.
Zawadzki has hit .222 (4-18) with a double and two RBI in seven games with the Bisons this season.
