Biscuits 2005 Schedule Fresh from Oven

Montgomery, AL – Today, the Montgomery Biscuits released their 2005 regular season schedule and promotional calendar to the public. The Biscuits will open at home with a seven game series versus the Mississippi Braves, the new Atlanta Braves affiliate located in Pearl, Mississippi.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 7, when the Biscuits take the field for their second season at Riverwalk Stadium. The Biscuits will play a total of 140 home and away games with 70 of them taking place at the corner of Coosa and Tallapoosa.

"We are excited to announce our schedule for 2005," said Tom Dickson, owner of the Biscuits. "After such a fabulous opening season, we can hardly wait for spring 2005 to play ball again."

Monday through Saturday games will begin at 7:05pm with a few exceptions while Sunday game times will be split between 2:05pm early in the season to 5:05pm beginning in late June.

Entering their second season, the Biscuits are cooking up a promotional calendar proving to provide even more fun in 2005. Riverwalk Stadium will host nine Fireworks Spectaculars, presented by Max, Your Community Credit Union! Back by popular demand, BirdZerk and Myron Noodleman will appear two times each. Fan favorite events such as Reggy, Alabama / Auburn Night, Jimmy Buffet Beach Party, Elvis Night and the Biscuit Bake-Off will also return.

Adding to the recipe for fun will be the Zooperstars Act, American Frisbee Dogs as special guests for Bark in the Ballpark theme night, when Riverwalk Stadium opens its gates to fans and their dogs. Also, each Sunday will be a special Kids Day where kids will enjoy special events such as jugglers, face painters and magicians and have special privileges such as "all you can play" in Big Mo's Dugout for just $5.00.

"We are extremely excited about our promotional calendar for the '05 season." Said Megan Frazer, GM Sales/Marketing. " We'll host a total of nine Fireworks dates, presented by Max, Your Community Credit Union! and are fortunate to have BirdZerk and Myron back for two appearances each. Plus, we'll have some fun new events like "Bark in the Ballpark" where fans can enjoy the game with their furry friends and introduce some new acts to the River Region such as the America Frisbee Dogs and the Zooperstars."

Attached is the complete list of home and away game dates, as well as home game times and promotional events. A complete schedule can also be accessed on-line at www.biscuitsbaseball.com. Not all road game times have been confirmed at the time of this release, but will be added to the team's official website as they are submitted.

The Biscuits, members of the Double A Southern League, hosted over 322,000 fans in Montgomery's downtown Riverwalk Stadium in their 2004 Inaugural Season. Tickets for the 2005 season will go on sale to the public in early December.
