Bighorns Sweep Oklahoma City at Home

RENO, NV - With Vince Hunter netting 31 points, the Bighorns defeated the Oklahoma City Blue 119-100 Monday night at the Reno Events Center, improving their record to 15-9, keeping them on top of the Pacific Division.

Hunter led the Bighorns, logging his 16 double-double of the season with 31 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Erick Green netted 24 points and added six assists while Reggie Hearn totaled 19 points and four rebounds.

Green led the Bighorns in the first quarter with eight points, two rebounds and three assists. Ledo tallied six points and three rebounds in the quarter as Chad Toppert notched six points. The Bighorns outscored the Blue 34-22 in the quarter.

Hunter caught on fire in the second quarter, scoring 17 points and adding five rebounds while Green counted 12 points in the quarter.

The Bighorns led the Blue 63-54 at the half. The Bighorns shot 50 percent from the field in the first half compared the Blue shooting 38 percent from the field. Hunter finished the first half with a total of 21 points while Green tallied 20 points in the first half.

During the third quarter, Ledo had 10 points while Hunter notched eight points four rebounds and two assists. Stockton scored five points in the third and added two assists.

Hearn posted 14 points in the fourth quarter while Stockton netted five points in the quarter. The Bighorns went 5-8 (62 percent) from the three-point range in the fourth quarter compared to the blue going 0-4 from behind the arc in the fourth.

The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 7 P.M. to host the Austin Spurs. The Bighorns will honor those who have served, or are still serving in all branches of the United States Armed Forces on "Military Appreciation Night" Saturday, Jan. 23, offering all active duty and veterans 50 percent off tickets.
