
Bighorns Release Three Players from Training Camp Roster

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns announced today the release of three players from training camp, leaving 11 players left on the training camp roster. The players released were:
Bobby Howard (Montana State, 6-7, 230), the Bighorns seventh round draft pick in the NBA D-League Draft who participated in a Bighorns local tryout. At Montana State, Howard was 2nd all-time in games played, 11th all-time in scoring and 6th all time in three-pointers made.
Brent Jennings (Southern Poly State, 6-4, 205), made the training camp roster after an impressive local tryout. At Southern Poly, Jennings had the most single season double-doubles in school history, was a two-time member of the SSAC All-Conference team and was the 2010 SSAC Conference Championship MVP.
Dwight Thorne (Colorado, 6-2, 195), also made the training camp roster after an impressive local tryout. Thorne averaged 7.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game during his senior season at Colorado.
The Bighorns open up the season in Bakersfield this Friday, November 25 against the Bakersfield Jam. The team returns to Reno for its home opener on December 2 at the Reno Events Center.
