Bighorns Finalize Opening Night Roster

RENO, Nev.- Following a 27-point victory in their lone preseason exhibition contest of the season last night, the Reno Bighorns have finalized their opening night roster for the 2009-10 season.
The Bighorns waived forwards James Peters and Jermaine Johnson, bringing the roster down to the required 10 players.
Peters, a 6-9 product out of UNLV, spent the 2008-09 season in South Korea. In last night's exhibition, he scored eight points and grabbed two rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
Johnson, a 6-7 product of the College of Charleston, was a third-team All-Southern Conference selection last season. Last night, he chipped in six points and seven boards in 17 minutes.
The Bighorns kick-off the 2009-10 season this Saturday night against the Idaho Stampede at Qwest Arena in Boise. Tip-time is set for 6 p.m. PST.
Reno opens up the home schedule on Dec. 5 against the Los Angeles D-Fenders at the Reno Events Center. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
