Bighorns Beat the Stampede

BOISE, Idaho, December 26, 2011 - Seth Tarver scored 19 points and Antoine Walker notched his first double-double of the year with 12 points and 12 rebounds, but the Idaho Stampede (5-7) lost to the Reno Bighorns 120-98 at CenturyLink Arena.

David Bailey added 17 points and five assists for the Stampede, who were outscored 38-19 at the free throw line and beat on the boards 54-36. Eric Devendorf came off the bench to add 13, as did Mildon Ambres. Kevin Galloway totaled 10 points and seven assists as a sub. In his first start as a Stampeder, Will Foster finished with nine rebounds and two points.

Reno's Blake Ahearn had 35 points (9-16 FG, 14-14 FT) and seven assists in 40 minutes. Terrance Thomas added 19 points and nine rebounds for the Bighorns (5-6), who won two of three games against the Stampede in the last six days.

Idaho plays four straight road games, beginning on Dec. 29 at Tulsa.
