
Biggest Game in Storm Franchise History Tuesday Night

(Summerside, PE) Tuesday nights STORM game at Credit Union Place in Summerside has turned into the biggest game in franchise history when the STORM face the Windsor Express in game 2 of their NBL semi-finals. The STORM are looking to even their best of five series with the Express at one game each before heading off to Windsor for games three and four. Game five in the series will be played back at Credit Union Place Tuesday April 2nd if needed.
The Food Banks across PEI are reporting their stocks are low and the STORM are asking their fans to bring a non-perishable item to the game Tuesday night and drop the items in the bin at the door going into the arena to help the Food Banks restock their shelves. Monetary donations to the Food Banks of PEI will also be accepted at the door. Karen Mallet and Brenda Arsenault representing the Island organization will be on hand to accept donations and accept a check for $1,125 raised through the STORM and Chef Michael Smiths "Ultimate PEI Stuffed Potato" night recently held at a STORM game.
There will be lots of entertainment at the game Tuesday night with Darcy Ellis in the lobby an hour before the game and the STORM Troopers and Somerset Steppers providing a lively show at half time. The National anthem will be sung by Megan Wilkey of Charlottetown representing the Foundation Program at Holland College - Charlottetown Center. The STORM will also feature fan games on the court during breaks and timeouts with plenty of prize giveaways while fans also have an opportunity to purchase a 50-50 ticket with total pots running between $3,000 and $4,000 all season.
Tickets for Tuesdays game are on sale at the Credit Union Place box office today from 12 noon to 8 pm and tomorrow from 9 am until game time at 7 pm. Fans may also purchase tickets online at www.stormbaksetball.ca or call 902-432-1234.
Fans in Charlottetown are reminded the STORM Express Bus is operating for Tuesdays game. The STORM Express leaves the Rodd Royalty Inn at 5:45pm for the game with a tailgate party starting at 5 pm at Rodd's before the game. Tickets can be purchased now at the Rodd Royalty Inn. The STORM Express is sponsored by Superior Coach Lines and the Rodd Royalty Inn.
