The Amarillo ThunderHeads used a first-inning offensive outburst to top the Laredo Lemurs, 7-1, Wednesday at ThunderHeads Stadium.

Amarillo was able to answer Laredo's first-inning run with four in the bottom half of the inning to take control. Alex Kornis controlled the game from the mound, allowing one run on four hits and striking out nine in eight innings of work.

Amarillo continues the series with Laredo beginning at 7:05 p.m. today.
