Big Win Ventures Announces Purchase of Albany Conquest

Big Win Ventures LLC announced today that it has completed the purchase of the Albany Conquest, one of the 26 teams in the arenafootball2 league (af2), from Glen Mazula.

Dr. Eric Margenau is the President of Big Win, which is a privately held company that also announced it has purchased the Mohegan Wolves of the arenafootball2 league.

Big Win plans to keep the Conquest in Albany and to maintain the Conquest's current staff, including General Manager Rob Thompson and Head Coach Pete Costanza. .

"We are committed to carrying on the winning tradition of the Albany Conquest while simultaneously providing a great time for our fans in 2003 at the Pepsi Arena," said Dr. Margenau. "The purchase of the Conquest franchise by Big Win will provide an even higher level of quality sports entertainment for Albany's fans and loyal sponsors."

The Conquest season opener at the Pepsi Arena will be on Friday, April 11th at 7:30PM against the Richmond Speed. , The Conquest will be led by New Jersey native and arena football veteran coach, Costanza, who was most recently the head coach of the Columbus Wardogs (af2) during the 2002 season.
