Springfield Cardinals News Release

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that left-hander Mark Mulder, who made two appearances for the Springfield Cardinals earlier in the year, will rejoin the Springfield roster and start on Saturday night, as they take on the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

Mulder, who prematurely ended his last rehab stint due to weakness in his left shoulder, will be the third big-leaguer to pitch at Hammons Field this home stand, joining Matt Clement and Jason Isringhausen.

Mulder went 2-0 in two starts for Springfield, beating Tulsa twice back in mid-April. After his two appearances for Springfield though, he struggled in back-to-back outings for Triple-A Memphis, going 0-2 for the Redbirds.

The Springfield Cardinals and Mark Mulder will face the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Saturday night at 6:10pm. Great seats are available by calling (417) 863-2143 or online at www.springfieldcardinals.com.

Matt Clement, who threw for Springfield on Sunday, will make his second rehab appearance on Friday night, as the Cards take on the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
