Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Pensacola Blue Wahoos (9-10) scored four in the first and four in the ninth to cruise by the Biscuits (9-10) 10-4 Monday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

Montgomery's starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein (1-1) struggled to settle in during the first inning. The first four batters Lobstein faced all reached, with Joel Guzman putting the Wahoos on the board first with an RBI-double that scored two. Pensacola would add two more runs to extend their lead to four after the first half inning.

The Biscuits cut the lead to one during a 6th inning rally. Omar Luna had an RBI-groundout while Kyeong Kong drove in the second run of the inning on a sacrifice fly to push the score to 4-3 Wahoos, but Pensacola would pull away from there, plating two in the seventh and four in the ninth.

Wahoos starter Tim Crabbe (1-0) retired 12 Biscuit hitters in-a-row from the 2nd to 5th innings and earned his first victory.

Greg Sexton added his first home run of the season with a solo shot in the bottom of the 9th inning. Brad Coon and Cole Figueroa extended their reach base streaks to 10 games and 19 games respectively.

The Biscuits and Wahoos will play in the rubber match of the series in a morning game starting at 10:35 am on Tuesday. RHP Joe Cruz will start for Montgomery while RHP J.C. Sulbaran will be on the mound for Pensacola.
