Ottawa 67's News Release
The boys put on a great show tonight in front of a âCivic Centre' sell-out of 10,829 fans as they beat the Petes 5-2. Scoring tonight were Dante Salituro, Taylor Fielding, Cody Ceci, Sean Monahan and Brendan Bell. Awarded with stellar performances were Tyler Graovac with the third star, second star to Cody Ceci and the first star went to rookie Dante Salituro. The Dickie's Hardest Working player was Brendan Bell and the hardest working song of the game was Gangnam Style. Oh my...how the kids jumped and danced to that (again, and again, and again, and again...)!
Tonight, to celebrate their 20th season as our city's favorite casual dining restaurant, Broadway Bar and Grill contributed swanky barberpole toques for the first 2,000 young fans wearing a jersey. Representing Broadway, Todd Snooks and Shane McLoughlin gathered at centre ice with the team captains for a ceremonial puck drop.
Every month during the season our good friends from Welch LLP recognize the academic achievements of a 67's player with a bursary. Tonight, the honour goes to Sean Callaghan. Congratulations Sean and a special big thank you to Welch LLP.
During tonight's second intermission one of the most popular girls' sports in Canada was showcased, Ringette! The Belle level AA Gloucester Devils made their debut on NHL ice; awesome job!
As we head into the holiday season break we'd like to wish you and yours all the very best of the season. We'll be back at the Bank on the afternoon of New Year's Eve, December 31, at 2:00 when the Soo Greyhounds pay a visit to the capital. The boys will also be in the concourse with pen in hand for a post-game autograph session. Hope to see you then.
