ANCHORAGE, AK - Peter Sivak scored 52 seconds into the first period, and the Alaska Aces earned their second straight win over the Rapid City Rush 4-1 Saturday night at the Sullivan Arena.

All five goals in the game were scored in the first period.

Sivak was parked off to the right of Rush goaltender Sam Marotta when defenseman Nilan Nagy bounced a pass from the right point off the backboards and right to Sivak who shoved the puck home.

Justin Breton followed that goal with one of his own, his team-leading 10th of the season at 5:56.

After a Sean Erickson goal cut the Alaska lead to 2-1, Tony Deluca through a Garet Hunt screen on the power play at 11:52 and Tim Coffman at 17:46 closed out the game's scoring. Coffman's goal was his third in two games.

Alaska outshot Rapid City 31-24 for the game.

Marotta finished with 27 saves. Aces netminder Troy Redmann was solid with 23 stops.

The two teams conclude their three game series Sunday with a matinee at 3:05 Alaska time.
