
Big Boi of Outkast to perform at halftime of Georgia Force home opener

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA, January 26, 2005 â Fans coming to the Georgia Force's home opener on Saturday, January 29th at 7:00 p.m. vs. New Orleans will not only be experiencing the kickoff to the 2005 Arena Football League season at Philips Arena, but also a special halftime show presented by Ford, starring Big Boi of Outkast, who will perform "The Way You Move" featuring Sleepy Brown.
"We wanted to start the season with something special for our fans," explained Force President Dick Sullivan. "Big Boi's halftime performance helps to enhance the overall entertainment and experience for fans from the Kroger tailgating tournament, to our Force Field interactive area on Philips Drive, to the postgame autograph session on the field with the whole team."

In Georgia, Ticketmaster outlets are primarily located in select Publix supermarkets. Force single-game tickets range in price from $7 to $89.
Big Boi is one half of the successful hip-hop duo Outkast. Big Boi, and his songwriting partner, Andre 3000, have been compiling music since the group's inception in 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia. Outkast, is best known for the group's vibrant songs such as "Ms. Jackson," "So Fresh, So Clean," "Hey Ya!," "The Way You Move," and "Roses." In 2003, OutKast released a double album, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which won the Grammy Award for the 2003 Album of the Year. Big Boi's single released from the CD in September 2003 "The Way You Move" was originally supported by urban radio, but then crossed over to pop charts topping the Billboard Hot 100.
The Georgia Force kick off their fourth season in the AFL in 2005 under the direction of new owner Arthur M. Blank, owner & CEO of the Atlanta Falcons, and new head coach Doug Plank. Georgia Force season tickets start as low as $39. A network-TV sport, the AFL will celebrate its third season on NBC in 2005 and additionally will have over 100 games broadcast on Fox Regional Sports Networks.
