New Orleans' Kelly to extend consecutive QB start mark

NEW YORK – New Orleans QB ANDY KELLY is slated to start his 120th consecutive regular-season game when the VooDoo travel to Philips Arena to play the Georgia Force on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET (Cox Sports TV, New Orleans).

The streak is the all-time record for consecutive starts by a quarterback. The next closest active streak is Las Vegas QB CLINT DOLEZEL, who has started 60 straight games dating back to 2001 with Grand Rapids.

Kelly's streak began with the Charlotte Rage on July 13, 1996 against the Anaheim Piranhas. The streak includes stints with the Nashville Kats (1997-2001), Dallas Desperados (2002) and Detroit Fury (2003-04). Ironically, the Rage fell 44-40 that night to a team that was operated by then-owner and current commissioner, DAVID BAKER.
