Chicago Stars FC News Release
CHICAGO - The Canadian Soccer Association announced their roster for their upcoming two-week training camp prior to the SheBelieves Cup. Chicago Red Stars defender Bianca St.Georges was named to the camp roster.
St.Georges was selected by the Red Stars with the 20th overall selection in the 2019 National Women's Soccer League Draft held in Chicago. After she recovered from an injury throughout the 2019 NWSL season, St.Georges would become a rising star in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup.
She made five appearances for the Red Stars throughout the tournament and earned the start in every match she appeared in. St.Georges would get her first professional goal in a key Challenge Cup semi-final match against Sky Blue FC to give Chicago a 1-0 lead within the opening 10 minutes. She would go on to assist the game-winning goal later in the match, helping the Red Stars reach their second-consecutive Championship appearance. St.Georges would appear in all of Chicago's four NWSL Fall Series matches to end her 2020 campaign.
St.Georges has previously represented Canada at a youth level. She started eight games for the U-17 squad, including appearances in the 2014 U-17 World, and helped Canada earn a silver medal in the 2013 CONCACAF U-17 Championships.
