Bethlehem Steel FC Announce Roster News Ahead of 2020 Season

CHESTER, Pa. - Bethlehem Steel FC today announced that they have exercised the contract options on three players from their 2019 roster, while four USL Championship contracts were already guaranteed for next season. This gives the club a roster that currently features seven players under contract for the 2020 campaign.

The club exercised the options of Todd Morton, Yomi Scintu and Zach Zandi. Saed Diaz, Steve Kingue and Jamoi Topey are also set to re-join the squad pending valid work status, league and federation approval.

The contracts of the following players were already guaranteed for the 2020 season: Selmir Miscic, Issa Rayyan, Ben Ofeimu, Shanyder Boreglin. Also guaranteed for 2020 is Cole Turner who will join Philadelphia Union on a homegrown contract effective January 1, 2020.

Steel FC remain in negotiations with loaned defender Walter Cortes.

Simultaneously, Steel FC announced that they have declined the contract option of James Chambers. Faris Pemi Moumbagna is out of contract and will become a free agent, and Chavany Willis' loan has concluded and his rights return to Portmore United.
