May 21, 2015 - Frontier League (FL)
Joliet Slammers News Release
Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers, presented by ATI Physical Therapy, will host its annual Bark in the Park nights sponsored by Blackbird's Bowl, Natural Pet Foods & More on Sunday, June 7 and Sunday, August 9 at Silver Cross Field.
As tradition, fans can bring their four-legged friends to the 5:05 PM games with just a $5.00 lawn ticket. No ticket needed for pets, but all dogs must be on a leash.
Blackbird's Bowl, Natural Pet Foods & More is adding a new element this year to the furry-friendly night by hosting the first ever "Blackbird's Best in Show" contest. Fans have the opportunity to enter their dog into the running by stopping into Blackbird's store, located at 221 N. Liberty Street in Morris. Photos will be taken of the dogs entering the contest and posted to the Joliet Slammers Facebook page to capture votes from other Slammers fans. The dog with the most Facebook "likes" will be crowned "Blackbird's Best in Show." Entrants must tell their friends to vote!
Two winners will be selected, one for each of the Bark in the Park nights, and each will receive an official "Blackbird's Best in Show" certificate and prize pack provided by Blackbird's and the Joliet Slammers. All dogs entered can partake in a pre-game parade around the field.
