Paul Berrafato made 36 saves to complete the shutout and led the Amarillo Bulls to a 2-0 win against the Topeka RoadRunners.

Amarillo pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 27 penalty minutes.

The Bulls were paced by Tyler Gernhofer, who had one goal. Gernhofer scored 3:04 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Amarillo.

Amarillo stifled Topeka's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls' offense was clicking better than usual and put 33 shots on goal during the game, better than the 28.3 shots per game they average.

Cody Gylling also scored for Amarillo. Other players who recorded assists for Amarillo were Kyle Gattelaro and Mike Davis, who each chipped in one.

The RoadRunners forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. Topeka surpassed its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. The RoadRunners excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Topeka was held below its usual level of production. The RoadRunners average 2.7 goals per game. Topeka's offense rang up 36 shots on Amarillo's net.

The RoadRunners were led by Tyler Poulsen, who took six shots.

PJ Bridges made 31 saves for Topeka on 33 shots. The RoadRunners registered zero goals on seven power play opportunities.
