
Bergeron Appointed General Manager

As his first order of business, Spielman announced the appointment of Lydia Bergeron as General Manager of the Aces.
Bergeron, 52, has been acting General Manager since January 1, 2003 when Chet Carey accepted a position with the Jackson Senators. She served as the Aces Director of Groups and Tickets for the 2002 season.
Prior to joining the Aces, Bergeron served as General Manager of two other independent baseball clubs, the Baton Rouge Blue Marlins of the All-American Association and the Sacramento Steelheads of the Western Baseball League. She was named Executive of the Year in 2001 for her work in Baton Rouge.
"I am honored and excited about this opportunity. Aces fans can be sure that I will work tirelessly to make the team a success," said Bergeron.
Prior to her baseball involvement, the Lafayette native worked in the Catholic School System in Lafayette and Vermilion Parishes.
