
Belmar and Diaz for Club and Country âÃâ¬Ã" World Cup Qualifier Action, Today and Thursday

Last week, Kharlton Belmar and Rafa Diaz were called into national team camp to prepare for World Cup Qualification. Diaz's Dominican National Team will take to the pitch this afternoon, and Belmar's Spice Boyz Grenada side will follow on Thursday.
Luckily for SRFC supporters, the first fixtures that will be streaming live on Paramount+ as nations begin the journey of trying to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Rafa's Dominican Republic kicks off its Concacaf qualifying matches Dominica at 4 p.m. PT on Wednesday, March 24. Khalrton's Grenada opens the following day on Thursday, March 25 against El Salvador at 7:25 p.m PT.
The Dominican Republic landed in Group D with Panama, Barbados, Dominica and Anguilla. Their first matchup against Dominica - D.R.'s opening round contest that kicks off this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. PT - has never once qualified for the FIFA World Cup. A positive showing in the tournament and Dominica will be making history every step it takes closer to the global tournament that is held every four years and celebrated around the world. Dominica currently has a FIFA World Ranking of 184.
Grenada was placed in Group A along with El Salvador, Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The draw has them matching up against El Salvador first. La Selecta - currently ranked 70 by the FIFA World Ranking - has a fellow USL Championship standout and familiar face listed on the roster as FC Tulsa's Joaquin Rivas joins his country's attacking ranks. Rivas played for the boys in Old Glory Red in 2015 and 2016 where he made over 20 appearances across all competitions for Republic FC and registered one assist.
