Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is proud to announce the official signing of their 2008 first round bantam draft pick, Myles Bell. The 6'0", 185 pound defenceman out of Calgary, Alberta was taken with the 17th overall pick this past May's draft.
With the Calgary Bronks of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League last season, Bell racked up 17 goals and 15 assists, good for 32 points.
Regina Pats General Manager Brent Parker, "We are very excited that Myles and his family have committed to the Regina Pats and the WHL. In his short time here, we have found him to be a mature and respectful young man, and when you combine that with his tremendous skill set, he has all of the tools to be an impact player in our league."
Bell has played so well in training camp, that he will be making the trip with the Pats to the upcoming Edmonton Oil Kings preseason tournament this weekend, beginning Saturday afternoon against the Medicine Tigers.
