Beef Look To Make It Two In A Row

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association (UIF) return home this Sunday after a thrilling 38-35 victory over Sioux City last Saturday. Omaha will play host to the Evansville BlueCats on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:35 PM. The Beef are currently 1-1 and are in second place in the West Division.

Both Evansville and Omaha are coming off of road wins that notched their first victory of the season. RJ Rollins scored three 4th quarter touchdowns to lead the Beef comeback over Sioux City, as Omaha was down by 12 early in the 4th quarter. For the season, Rollins leads the UIF in touchdowns with 6. For his efforts, Rollins was named UIF Offensive Player of the Week. Defensively, the Beef stood up to Sioux City with 2 big stops inside the 5-yard line and a fumble recovery in the final minute of the game in Sioux City. Chris Eads led all players with 8.5 tackles. Eads was honored with the UIF Defensive Player of the Week award.

Evansville (1-1) had a hard fought battle as well by defeating Ohio Valley 36-34. The BlueCats offense was led by Dale Jennings who had 4 receptions for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns, he also rushed for another touchdown and added 67 yards in kick returns.

Beef Head Coach Robert Fuller says, "This is going to be an exciting game between two quality football teams that play with a high level of enthusiasm and intensity. Both teams showed a lot of character last week getting tough road wins in the last minute and this game has the potential to be a wild one."

Sunday's game is "Faith and Family" Day where Beef fans can receive $3 off their admission by bringing a non-perishable food item to the Beef Office or The Civic Auditorium Box Office. Donations will benefit the Omaha Food Bank.
