Bobby Sippio's roller-coaster ride of a 2006 season continued with a scintillating peak in Sunday's 67-47 win over Las Vegas.
In that game, Sippio caught eight passes for 168 yards and a career-high six touchdown passes.
For his performance, Sippio has been named the Beckett.com AFL Collectible Player of the Week for Week 13.
Sippio, one of the AFL's most explosive offensive threats, left the Dallas Desperados after last season to sign with his home-state Tampa Bay Storm. What seemed like a great fit suddenly went south when Sippio questioned Tampa Bay's play calling following a Week 9 loss to Georgia. Sippio was cut just days later, despite leading the team at the time with 55 receptions for 666 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He wasn't unemployed long. The Rush picked him up off waivers prior to Week 10 and finally got him into the lineup two weeks ago. In two games with Chicago, Sippio has accounted for 15 receptions for 307 yards (20.4 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns.
