
Beavers Offer Significant Cost-Saving Ticket, Food Specials In 2009

PORTLAND, Ore. - With their 2009 home season beginning tonight, the Portland Beavers will feature a number of special cost-saving promotions this season with budget-conscious fans in mind.
This season, the Beavers are introducing Kids-Eat-Free Sundays and Fred Meyer $4 Tuesdays, in addition to offering a select number of $5 general admission tickets for every game and continuing their popular Comcast $1 Menu Fridays.
After starting the season on the road, the Beavers are set to make their home debut tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Fresno Grizzlies in the first of an eight-game homestand.
Kids-Eat-Free Sundays
New this season, kids 12 and under will be able to eat free before Sunday home games at PGE Park. Each child will receive a voucher at designated information tables upon entering PGE Park for a hot dog, chips and a drink. The American Family Insurance Kids-Eat-Free Sunday promotion is good from the time gates open until first pitch during all Sunday home games in 2009.
Comcast $1 Menu Fridays
During Friday home games at PGE Park, the Beavers are again featuring Comcast $1 Menu Fridays. Throughout the game, the Beavers will feature $1 hot dogs, Sierra Springs water and Nestle ice cream treats. The first Comcast $1 Menu Friday occurs when the Beavers open their 2009 home season against the Fresno Grizzlies on April 17.
Fred Meyer $4 Tuesdays
Already offering the best in affordable family entertainment, the Beavers are adding to the savings on Tuesdays this season by offering a select number of $4 general admission tickets for sale. Available day-of-game at area Fred Meyer Ticketmaster outlets and PGE Park, 200 $4 tickets will be made available for each Tuesday home contest in 2009.
Reduced-price tickets
For every game, the Beavers are offering 50 $5 general admission tickets this season. These tickets are available day-of-game at the PGE Park box office and represent a $3 savings off the regular general admission price, which at $8, has remained constant for the past four seasons. Additionally, the Beavers reduced the price of infield reserved, outfield reserved and general admission season tickets in 2009.
