
Bears drop overtime thriller to Philadelphia

Tony Voce scored his second goal of the game 1:09 into overtime as the Philadelphia Phantoms defeated the BEARS 3-2 at GIANT Center. The loss dropped HERSHEY to 0-3-1-0 through four games of the 2004-05 season.
Marek Svatos scored his first goal of the season at the 5:40 mark of the second period to give the BEARS a 1-0 lead. After two Philadelphia goals gave the Phantoms a 2-1 edge, Mathieu Darche retied the game at two with just five seconds remaining in regulation. The teams went to four on four overtime where Voce notched the game-winner with an assist to Joni Pitkanen. It was the first overtime game for HERSHEY this season. Tom Lawson took the loss, his second in as many decisions. Former BEARS backstop Neil Little won the game for Philadelphia.
HERSHEY will get back to game action next Friday night at Syracuse at 7:30 p.m. before returning home to face Rochester and Norfolk at GIANT Center next Saturday and Sunday.
