
Beach Bums Attendance Tops Three-Quarter Million Fan Mark

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.-- With the conclusion of the 2009 regular season, the Traverse City Beach Bums announce they have drawn over three-quarters of a million fans (exact number 782,961) during their first four years at Wuerfel Park.
"We are very proud of our attendance record and the family friendly atmosphere we have created here in Northern Michigan," said the Beach Bums CEO John E. Wuerfel. "Fans come from all over Northern Michigan. We have season ticket holders from Gaylord, Manistee, Charlevoix, Frankfort, Cadillac in addition to the season ticket holders and game day fans in the Traverse City area," Wuerfel continued, "Wuerfel Park is a place where parents can interact with their children, cheer, yell, let off some steam and most of all laugh. Fans can get autographs, eat and just have a good time."
"We would like to thank all of our fans over the part 4 years, as well as our sponsorship partners. We are looking forward to a great 2010 year --our 5th year-- and who knows, if we have a great year, we just might reach the one millionth fan mark."
