Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN --- If you have ever thought that you would like to take a crack at being a radio commentator during a RiverKings game, here's you chance. RiverKings With A Cause (KWAC) will be holding a silent auction beginning this Saturday for just that opportunity. The winner of the auction will have an opportunity to join RiverKings radio broadcaster Jim Erickson in the broadcast booth as a guest color analyst for the game on December 16. Proceeds from the auction will go to the RiverKings With A Cause Charity Fund.
"This is a way to have some fun on the radio and raise money for charity at the same time," Erickson said. "It gives a fan a chance to experience a different side of watching RiverKings hockey."
The auction will take place at the KWAC table on the concourse before and during the game on December 9 and before and during the game on December 15. The KWAC table is located behind section 118. Bidding will cease at the end of the second intermission each night. The highest bidder at the end of the second intermission on December 15 will then be the guest broadcaster for the game versus the Tulsa Oilers the next night on Saturday, December 16. If that date doesn't work for the auction winner, another mutually agreed upon date will be found.
