Bees set for tough divisional weekend

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release

Hidalgo, Texas --- It might only be December, but the Southeast Division race is already in full tilt. Entering this week's action, only three points separate first place Laredo and fourth place Corpus Christi. It makes for an interesting weekend series beginning this Friday and Saturday at Dodge Arena when the Bees face Corpus Christi and Laredo. Rio travels to Laredo Sunday afternoon.

Much of December is comprised of divisional games throughout the league, and the Bees are no exception. Out of 14 games through the month, 12 are against division rivals and all 14 pit the Bees against Southern Conference foes. Rio faces Corpus Christi four times, Laredo six times, Austin twice and Odessa and Amarillo once each.

When the Killer Bees face off against the Laredo Bucks this Saturday night, there will be a little extra energy in the air. As if the excitement of a Saturday night Bees-Bucks Saturday night match at Dodge Arena isn't excitement enough, Cameron "Superfan" Hughes will be at the game to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

Read the story below to see what Cameron is all about, and get ready to laugh your socks while seeing if you can keep up with the Superfan this Saturday night. Face off is set for 7:30 p.m.
