Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas - The Laredo Bucks went 1-1-1 this past week. The Bucks fell 4-2 in Austin on Friday, and then dropped a 4-3 overtime decision at the LEC to the Ice Bats Saturday. Sunday the Bucks beat the Corpus Christi Rayz on the road 3-2. Laredo is 10-6-2 with 22 points and in first place in the Southeast Division. The Bucks host Corpus Christi on Wednesday in the McDonald's Kids Day Matinee game at the LEC at 11 a.m. Tickets are $8.50 for all ages. The Bucks are offering a family four pack of season tickets for the 2006-07 CHL regular season, which works out to just over $7 a seat per game and is a 48 % savings off walkup prices. LAREDO BUCKS TOY DRIVE
- The Bucks will be collecting toys at home games thru the month of December to donate to various local hospitals or charities. People are encouraged to bring a new toy to the games at the LEC to help the less fortunate. Fans who donate will receive a raffle ticket for some great prizes. Donations will also be collected at the LEC during non game days prior to Christmas, concluding on December 22nd.
DECEMBER SPECIAL
- The Bucks are making a special offer to season ticket holders for the month of December. Season ticket holders can get $2 per seat off the purchase of any extra tickets, or to use at the Bucks team store thru December. Coupons will be mailed out, or you can contact your Bucks ticket representative at 718-BUCK (2825).

2006-07 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo is 2-1-0 against the Rayz in 2006-07. The Bucks beat the Rayz 4-2 on 10/21 at the American Bank Center in the season opener for each team. The Rayz beat the Bucks 5-3 at the LEC on 10/31. This is the third of 13 meetings this season. Laredo beat the Rayz 3-2 on 12/03 with three third period goals. This is the fourth of 13 meetings this season.
2005-06 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo went 10-2-1 against Corpus in 05-06. The Bucks were 6-1-1 at the LEC and 4-1-0 in Corpus. Overall the Bucks outscored the Rayz 48-24.
All-time: The Bucks are 40-12-1 all-time against Corpus Christi, outscoring the Rayz 221-121. The Bucks are 22-4-1 at the LEC against Corpus.
- AUSTIN ICE BATS -
2006-07 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo is 2-1-1 against Austin. The Bucks beat the Ice Bats 5-3 on 10/29 in Austin. Forward Jeff Genovy registered a hat trick. On 11/03 the Bucks beat the Ice Bats 6-5 in overtime on the road as Bobby Chaumont scored the game winning goal. The Ice Bats beat the Bucks 4-2 in Austin on 12/02. On 12/03 the Bucks rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game at 3-3, before falling 4-3 in overtime to Austin at the LEC.
2005-06: REGULAR SEASON: The Bucks were 7-1-0 against Austin in the 2005-06 season. Laredo was 4-0-0 at home and 3-1-0 on the road.
All-time: Laredo is 28-13-2 against the Ice Bats all-time. The Bucks have out scored the Ice Bats 151-113 over that stretch. Laredo is 11-10-0 all-time in Austin,
- RIO GRANDE VALLEY KILLER BEES -
2006-07: REGULAR SEASON: Laredo is 1-2-0 against RGV. The Killer Bees defeated the Bucks 4-2 on 10/28 at the LEC. The Bucks rallied from an early 2-0 deficit and beat the Killer Bees 5-2 on 11/10 at the Dodge Arena as Igor Agarunov scored a pair of goals.
2005-06: REGULAR SEASON: The Bucks went 8-4-2 against the Killer Bees in the 05-06 regular season.
2006 Post-Season: The Bucks defeated the Killer Bees four games to two in the first round of the CHL Playoffs. Bucks forward Jeff Bes ended the series with a Game Six OT winner at the Dodge Arena.
All-time: Laredo is 25-11-4 against the Killer Bees, outscoring Rio Grande Valley 146-98. The Bucks are 10-8-3 all-time at the Dodge, and 15-3-1 all-time at the LEC. The teams met in the first round of the 2004 CHL playoffs with the Bucks sweeping the Killer Bees three games to none and again in the first round in 2006 with the Bucks winning four games to none.

- Laredo ended a season high four game winless streak by beating Corpus Christi 3-2 on 12/03.

- 12/03/06 - SUNDAY - @ CORPUS CHRISTI - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks got a terrific third period comeback and great special teams play as they beat the Corpus Christi Rayz 3-2 at the AmericanBank Center on Sunday afternoon. Laredo scored three third period goals, including a pair on the power play, and stopped all eight Rayz power play chances as they improved to 10-6-2 with 22 points. Eric Marvin stopped 14 of 16 shots and improved to 5-3-2. Brent Zelenewich allowed three goals on 32 shots and fell to 2-3-1. FINAL SCORE Laredo 3, Corpus Christi 2.

- 12/02/06 - SATURDAY - vs. AUSTIN - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks rallied from a 3-0 deficit to get a standings point as they fell 4-3 in sudden death overtime to the Austin Ice Bats in front of 5,002 at the LEC on Saturday. The Buck are now 9-6-2 with 20 points and in second place in the Southeast Division. Mike DiLorenzo allowed three goals on 11 shots in 20:48 of work and did not factor in the decision. Eric Marvin came on in relief and was terrific stopping 23 of 24 shots in 43:11, but took the tough luck loss and is now 4-3-2. Kevin Couture stopped 31 of 34 and got the win to improve to 3-3-0. FINAL SCORE Austin 4, Laredo 3 in sudden death.

- 12/01/06 - FRIDAY - @ AUSTIN - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks fell 4-2 to the Austin Ice Bats at the Chaparral Ice Center in Austin on Friday night. The Bucks suffered their first road loss in the Southeast Division, but at 9-6-1 with 19 points they remain in first place in the division. Austin forward John McNabb led the Ice Bats with two goals. Eric Marvin allowed three goals on 29 shots and fell to 4-3-1. Miguel Beaudry stopped 42 of 44 shots and improved to 4-3-4. FINAL SCORE Austin 4, Laredo 2.

2006-07 BUCKS SINGLE GAME TICKETS ON SALE
- Single game tickets for the Bucks start at $14.95. Of the 32 home games, 25 will take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Game times will remain the same for the 2006-07 season.
