(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced the following transactions this afternoon:

Players released:

Daunte Akra (DL, Import),

Andre Dixon (RB, Import),

J.T. Fitzgerald (DB, Import)

Charlie Hatchett (LB, Import)

Tavaris Jeffries (OL, Import)

Jacobi Jenkins (DB, Import)

Jaymar Johnson (WR, Import)

Gerard Lawson (DB, Import)

Ekom Udofia (DT, Import)

Matt Walker (S, Non-Import)

Added:

Kyle Jones (LB, Non-Import, Bishop's)

The Lions kick off the 2013 campaign with a preseason tilt versus the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday, June 21 at 7:00 pm and begin their regular season home schedule on Thursday, July 4 at 7:00 pm versus the reigning Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts.
