BC Lions Fanfest Presented by Bc Egg Set for Sunday

(Kamloops ) - The BC Lions are pleased to invite Lions supporters to the club's 2012 Fanfest presented by BC Egg this Sunday, June 10th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hillside Stadium, site of the Leos' Training Camp in beautiful Kamloops, BC.

With warm weather on the horizon for Sunday's festivities, Fanfest will feature a number of exciting family-friendly attractions including performances by the Felions Dance Team on the main stage as well as Q&As with Lions players and coaches, and a special Kids Zone with interactive and inflatable games, face painting, and much more.

Prior to practice, young players representing Kamloops Minor Football will hit the field from 1:30 pm to 2:1 5 pm to receive some firsthand instruction from the pros. Lions fans will have their chance to meet the 2012 edition of the BC Lions during an autograph session that runs from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm and then get a sneak preview of the team during an on-field practice session beginning at 3:15 pm and concluding at 4:45 pm.

Fanfest is also the perfect opportunity to gear up for the 2012 season as a wide selection of Lions merchandise will be available to purchase, including a limited-edition 2012 Training Camp t-shirt for just $20.00 as well as the brand-new 2012/13 Felions calendar.

Leos fans looking for a snack during Sunday's festivities are encouraged to visit the Lions Society Paddlewheelers Hamburgers and Hot Dogs Concession, with proceeds supporting Kamloops Minor Football and the Kamloops Broncos. In addition, proceeds from 50/50 tickets sold throughout the day will support these two local amateur sports organizations.

Directions : From Highway 1/97 East, take exit 369 (Columbia Street). Travel north on Columbia Street to Summit Drive (turn left). Travel northwest on Summit Drive to McGill Road (turn left). Travel west on McGill Road to Hillside Drive (turn right). Travel north on Hillside Drive, stadium is on right side, parking lot is located on northwest corner of Hillside Stadium.

BC Lions Training Camp presented by Sun Peaks Resort is underway at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops, BC through Wednesday, June 20th.
