B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) The BC Lions will have their hands full with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on the field this weekend and one lucky fan is going to fill their jeans with at least $50,000 with Saturday's jackpot for BC Lions 50/50 presented by Belairdirect starting at $100,000.
Getting in on the action isn't just limited to the fans in the stands either as the club recently added online home-game 50/50 purchasing for 2019. To purchase online, you must be 19 or older and in British Columbia - click here for more information.
Since 2001, proceeds from the Lions' 50/50 program combined with the club's annual Orange Helmet Awards have contributed almost $4 million to the support of amateur football in British Columbia.
"We're tremendously proud of our contributions to the grassroots development of players, coaches and programs over the past 15-plus years," said the team's director of community partnerships, Jamie Taras. "What we have accomplished would not be possible however, without the generosity of fans and sponsors such as Belairdirect Car and Home Insurance. Our sincere thanks for everyone's support of this crucial fundraising program and good luck in this week's 50/50 draw."
The BC Lions take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 27 presented by The Brick.
Single game tickets for all home games are on sale now.
