Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today that individual game ticket prices will not increase this season. This year marks the fifth consecutive season that ticket prices remain the same, and the team's most expensive single game tickets are cheaper than they were during the 2006 campaign. Individual game tickets for the 2011 season range from $6 to $14 and parking remains free for all Baysox home games.
Baysox General Manager Brian Shallcross takes pride in the consistent ticket prices. "Providing quality family entertainment at an affordable price is a core value of Minor League Baseball," Shallcross said. "We are proud to be one of the most affordable family-friendly venues in the area. I guarantee that any fan who comes to even a single game will love the entertainment value. If you disagree, come talk to me."
Lower reserved seat tickets are $14 for all fans and upper reserved seat tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for youth ages 3-12, senior citizens ages 60 and up and active members of the military with valid identification. Ticket prices have not changed since upper reserved seating was installed prior to the 2007 campaign. In 2005 and 2006, field box seats were $15.
General admission seats remain $9 for adults and $6 for youth, senior citizens ages 60 and up and active members of the military with valid identification. General admission seat ticket prices have not changed since the 2003 season.
Baysox individual game tickets go on sale at the team's annual Free Family FunFest Saturday, March 26, at Prince George's Stadium.
The Baysox open the 2011 season on the road in Harrisburg Thursday, April 7, and play their first game at Prince George's Stadium Thursday, April 14, at 7:05 p.m. Baysox ticket packages are now available at www.baysox.com.
