The Baysox (59-55) took their second game of the series from Akron (50-63) out-hitting the Aeros 11-4. The Baysox who are in third place actually lost ground in the playoff picture as second-place Erie won both games of a doubleheader and first-place Altoona won, leaving Bowie 10 games out.
In the first inning Jay Gibbons, on a rehab from the Orioles, hit a single, for his only hit in 12 Double-A at-bats this season. Walter Young followed with one of his two doubles driving the ball down the leftfield line. Majewski drove in both Baysox with a double hit to the same location and was then driven in by Keith Reed who went 2-for-4.
