Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators were shut out 3-0 by the Bowie Baysox Tuesday night at Prince George's Stadium. Harrisburg had just two hits in the game, a single by Robert Hassell in the fifth inning and a single by Trey Lipscomb in the ninth. Bowie scored a run in the first and two in the fifth to secure their third straight win. Harrisburg was coming off a shutout win over Richmond Sunday afternoon.
The Big Play
With two outs and on one on base in the bottom of the first inning, Jud Fabian connected for a solo home run giving Bowie a 1-0 lead. As it turned out, that's all the Baysox would need.
On Capitol Hill
Alemao Hernandez pitched five innings and allowed all three runs on six hits. He struck out six and walked two facing 24 batters... Patrick Ruotolo and Tyler Beck combined to toss the final three scoreless innings.
With the Gavel
Harrisburg had just two hits, both singles, by Robert Hassell III and Trey Lipscomb... The only time in the game they had two runners on base came in the ninth inning.
Filibusters
The Senators were shutout for the eighth time this season... They are 1-5 on the road on Tuesdays... The time of the game was 2:20... The attendance at Prince George's Stadium was 2,041.
