MOBILE, AL- In a series that saw one rainout and another suspended game, the Mobile BayBears were swept by the Jacksonville Suns 3 games to none. Thursday, the Suns scored twice in the sixth inning and beat the BayBears 6-5 in the continued game from Tuesday night. After a 25 minute break between games, the BayBears lost 5-1 to Jacksonville, after four unanswered Suns runs broke a 1-1 tie.

The BayBears have now lost twice in one day to Jacksonville twice this season, as they lost both games of a doubleheader on May 1st. In the second game Thursday, the BayBears stranded 12 runners, with their only run coming on a bases loaded walk by Steve Baker.

Friday the BayBears begin a four game road trip to Birmingham. Sean Thompson, one of the BayBears best starters of late, takes the mound. The road trip is followed by the Southern League All-Star Game on Wednesday at Hank Aaron Stadium. All BayBears games can be heard on 1480 AM WABB, Comcast Cable Channel 59, and on the internet via www.mobilebaybears.com.
