Mobile BayBears News Release
MOBILE, AL- The BayBears scored twice in the second inning to tie Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Suns 2-2. That was as close as the BayBears would get in a 5-3 Suns win. Jacksonville scored right away, with two unearned runs in the first inning. The BayBears tied the game in the second, led by an RBI single by pitcher Jared Wells, his first professional hit and RBI.
Justin Ruggiano's second home run this year, both hit at Hank Aaron Stadium, gave the Suns a 5-2 lead in the fourth inning. The BayBears scored their third run on an RBI double by George Kottaras in the seventh, but the threat ended on Todd Donovan's diving catch with two runners on base.
The BayBears will travel to Huntsville to play a three game series starting Monday. All BayBears games can be heard on 1480 AM WABB, Comcast Cable Channel 59, and on the internet via www.mobilebaybears.com.
