Mobile BayBears News Release

Mobile, AL - The Mobile BayBears dropped just their third decision in the last ten games, falling 3-1 to the Chattanooga Lookouts Monday night at Hank Aaron Stadium. The BayBears were held to just one run on four hits. The Lookouts pushed across three runs on 11 hits including five for extra bases.

Yazy Arbelo put the BayBears in front with a solo home run to straightaway center in the bottom of the second inning, but the Mobile bats would be quieted the rest of the game, only recording two hits over the final seven innings. The BayBear batters were limited by Chattanooga right-hander Nathan Eovaldi who earned his first win of the 2012 season. Eovaldi went seven full innings giving up three hits and one run.

Starting righty Chase Anderson was credited with his first loss of the year despite striking out seven and only allowing two runs over seven innings of work. The Lookouts first run was produced by a two-out, RBI double off the bat of Pedro Baez in the fourth inning. Chattanooga added a second run in the sixth inning and capped their offensive output with Nick Buss' one-run single in the ninth inning.

With the series tied at two games each, Mobile and Chattanooga will complete the five game set Tuesday night at 7:05 PM. BayBears RHP Brett Lorin (0-2) will make his fourth start of the year. The Lookouts will send RHP Allen Webster (1-5) to the mound. Tuesday night's game is a Guaranteed Win-tzells special. If the BayBears win, fans will receive a free ticket to the next Tuesday home game.
