
BayBears Host Homerun Trot Saturday

Mobile, Ala. â The Mobile BayBears will be hosting the 6th Annual Home Run Trot on Saturday morning at Hank Aaron Stadium. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30-7:30 am at the stadium. The race will begin at 8:00. The certified 3.1 mile course starts and ends at home plate at Hank Aaron Stadium. There will be a kid's base run (weather permitting) immediately following.
Day of race registration is $18.00 for 5K run/walk. Entry fee includes: T-Shirt, goody bag, and a ticket voucher for any 2003 BayBears game.
Proceeds from the race will benefit The Child Advocacy Center. The Center is the Mobile community response for coordinating services and programs for child victims of sexual/severe physical abuse and their non-offending family members. Under one roof 27 professionals from seven different agencies work together in a beautiful, home-like, child-oriented facility where child abuse victims and their families can come for all the help they may need.
The overall male and female winners of the race will be invited to throw out the First Pitch at the BayBears game on Saturday, April 12th. Awards will be given to the top finishers of all 11 age and ability levels.
