MOBILE, AL - The BayBears and Suns were tied in the fifth inning with two outs Monday, and by the time the frame ended, the BayBears led by 10 runs. Mobile scored 10 times with two outs in the fifth, beating Jacksonville 15-7. The inning featured a grand slam by Rusty Ryal, a three-run triple by Emilio Bonifacio, an RBI single by Wilkin Castillo and a bases loaded hit by pitch with Cesar Nicolas pinch-hitting. The game was delayed by one hour and 15 minutes by rain in the bottom of the third inning.

BayBears starter Max Scherzer allowed three runs in three innings, and did not pitch after the rain delay. Abe Woody (8-6) came in and pitched two innings without allowing an earned run for the BayBears and picked up the win. Matt Elliott and Reid Mahon pitched the final 2.1 innings without allowing a run.

Wilkin Castillo went 3-for-4 with three RBI's, and now has 11 hits in the last five games. Javier Brito was 2-for-3, increasing his league-leading batting average to .337. The BayBears have now won six of the eight games played so far in their final homestand of 2007.

The BayBears and Suns continue their series Tuesday at 7:05 PM, with RHP Matt Green (11-6) starting for Mobile against Jacksonville RHP Alvis Ojeda (4-6). The BayBears have just two home games remaining in 2007, followed by a season ending series in Mississippi.
