SEVIERVILLE, TN - The BayBears three-game losing streak came to an end Saturday at the hands of the Tennessee Smokies. Tennessee's Kevin Hart (2-1) was the winning pitcher in the Smokies 5-0 win, pitching seven shutout innings, allowing just four hits. Mobile's Chris Kinsey (0-2) took the loss, allowing three runs and 10 hits in 5.1 innings of work.
Neither team scored through the first four innings, until Josh Kroeger hit an RBI single in the fifth inning. Tennessee's next three runs came on one swing, when Chris Walker hit a three-run home run to left field. The fifth run came on an RBI triple by Gary Cates in the seventh inning.
