Bay FC News Release
San Francisco - Bay FC, the Bay Area's new women's professional soccer franchise in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), have signed defender Jordan Brewster to a contract through the 2025 season with an option for the 2026 campaign.
"Jordan is a player we have been following and have watched develop during her time in Sweden," said Bay FC General Manager Lucy Rushton. "As well as being an athletic defender with great pace, she has the technical ability and range of pass to help us play out from the back and control games in possession. Her time in Sweden has given her exposure to a style of football that aligns with ours and we are delighted to be able to add her to the roster where she will continue her development and help us establish our football identity."
After concluding her collegiate career at West Virginia, Brewster registered for the 2022 NWSL Draft but was not selected and signed with Kristianstads DFF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan for the 2023 season. During the 2023 season, Brewster helped the team finish sixth in league play, appearing in 17 matches (16 starts). She logged 1,258 minutes with the club, playing 90 minutes in 11 of those matches.
At the collegiate level, Brewster played for West Virginia from 2018-22. During her career, she appeared in 101 games (all starts), tallying nine goals and 11 assists in 9,249 minutes for the Mountaineers. Individually, Brewster garnered All-American accolades three times (third team - 2022, 2021, second team - 2020-21), was a three-time first team All-Big 12 and All-Region pick (2022, 2021, 2020-21) and was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year during the 2020-21 season. Across five seasons, Brewster and West Virigina made four NCAA Tournament appearances, while winning the Big 12 Championship in 2018 and 2022.
