LOS ANGELES - Angel City Football Club (ACFC) announced a multi-year Team Level Partnership with Slalom today. Slalom is a next-generation professional services company and is now ACFC's official business transformation partner.
Slalom is renowned for its success in helping organizations dream bigger, move faster, and build better tomorrows for all. In this partnership, Slalom will leverage its strategy expertise to support ACFC in identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities for the club and its global brand. Slalom has a proven track record of success, having collaborated with companies such as the Chicago Cubs, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Southwest Airlines, among others, to drive transformation and growth for their businesses.
ACFC's conversations with Slalom began in May 2021, when both organizations discussed a shared vision for supporting the growth of Angel City and the broader realm of women's sports. This partnership is unique as Slalom has committed to delivering both sponsorship and consulting services to help ACFC accelerate its goals, underscoring its dedication to ACFC and its commitment to community impact.
As with all Angel City partnerships, 10% of the partnership will directly benefit local community organizations. Angel City and Slalom will aid ACFC non-profit partners by providing them with the strategic resources necessary for navigating critical and timely business strategy projects. This initiative exemplifies ACFC's commitment to leveraging partnerships for the greater good, ensuring our non-profit allies are well-equipped to advance their missions amidst change and challenges.
Julie Uhrman, Co-Founder and President of Angel City, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership: "We welcome Slalom to Angel City and believe that their commitment to supporting our growth and being champions for women's sports is what makes them a natural fit. This partnership represents a pivotal step forward in our mission to redefine the future of sports and improve our community, and we look forward to the remarkable impact we will achieve together."
Karl Mehu, General Manager of Slalom in Los Angeles, shared his perspective:
"Slalom and Angel City's success is rooted in our mutual love for community. Slalom's purpose is to help organizations dream bigger, move faster, and build better tomorrows for all, and with ACFC, we share a commitment to innovation, purpose-driven values and driving equity on and off the field. We look forward to showcasing the impact of our work together and are so glad this further strengthens ACFC's ability to empower women in sports."
