Battery Launch Home Opener Ticket Sales, Unveil New Stadium Experiences

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Battery announced Wednesday that tickets for the 2022 Home Opener on Saturday, March 12, 2022, against FC Tulsa are now on sale. Fans can purchase tickets to the match via SeatGeek.com, the club's exclusive digital ticketing partner. Tickets for the match start as low as $12. The Home Opener, kicking off at 7 p.m. at Patriots Point, will also be the first USL Championship match for Battery Head Coach Conor Casey since taking the reins of the Black and Yellow in the offseason.

"It's great to have something concrete and an opponent to look forward to for the first game as we kick off the 2022 season," said Coach Casey when the fixture was initially announced. "The game is going to be exciting for everybody involved; the community, the players, the staff."

New Stadium Experiences

Ahead of an exciting new USL Championship season, the club also unveiled new stadium experiences fans can look forward to at each regular-season match.

Premium Pre-Match Experience

For every 2022 regular season match, fans can purchase one of ten Pre-Match VIP Experience Packages starting at $85 that includes field access during player warmups, a stadium tour, complimentary beverage and Battery supporter scarf, plus premium-level seats to the match.

Battery Suite Box Corner Growing

Following the popularity of the Battery's Suite Box experience offered during the 2021 season, the club has expanded the availability of this VIP experience with the addition of a second Suite Box in the southeast corner of Patriots Point.

Each Suite Box provides private accommodation for up to 40 guests in a retrofitted shipping container with a second-story deck, lounge area, and personal bar. Suite Box guests can get up close to the action while enjoying unlimited beverages and pre-match dinner catered by Home Team BBQ.

Tulsa in Town for the First Time

Fans can expect the match to be a competitive one as the Oklahoma side have been a formidable team in the league recently. Tulsa are coming off their second-straight USL Championship Playoffs appearance in 2021.

Also among the top storylines leading up to the game will be newly-signed Battery defender Matt Sheldon having a chance to square off against his former club. Sheldon played the previous three seasons with Tulsa and developed into an integral part of their defense from 2019 to 2021.

The Black and Yellow will continue to compete in the Breeze Airways© Carolina Challenge Cup through February 19 in preparation for the upcoming USL season.
