INDIANAPOLIS - Indy Eleven has bolstered its goalkeeping corps with today's signing of third-year professional Tim Trilk. Per club policy, terms of the contract that brings Trilk to the Circle City, pending league and federation approval, will not be released.
"I am beyond excited to join Indy Eleven and to be a part of its rich tradition and success," said the 23-year-old Trilk, a native of Rockford, Ill. "I look forward to pushing myself and my teammates on and off the field this season to bring Indiana another great year of Indy Eleven football."
Trilk spent the last two seasons with USL League One's Chattanooga Red Wolves SC and served as the squad's primary netminder across their 2021 campaign. Last season, Trilk made 21 total appearances, including two playoff games, while finishing tied for sixth across USL1 with five shutouts.
"Tim has showed well during the early portion of the preseason and has absolutely earned his spot on the roster. We look forward to his contributions throughout the season," said Indy Eleven Head Coach Mark Lowry.
Prior to turning pro, Trilk spent four years playing for Western Illinois University in Macomb, Ill. He was the primary starter in goal for the Leathernecks for three seasons, posting impressive marks and earning several accolades including a First Team All-Summit League selection after his senior season in 2019, during which he finished in the top 10 of NCAA Division I in saves. Trilk also made eight appearances for USL League Two side Tri-Cities Otters across the summers of 2018-19.
Additional roster announcements will continue to be made during Indy Eleven's ongoing preseason, which leads up to the squad's 2022 regular season opener at Loudoun United FC on Saturday, March 12 (6:00 p.m. kickoff, live on ESPN+). Following is the team's 24-man roster as it currently stands:
