Bathe Has AHL Playoff Debut
April 14, 2003 - SPHL (SPHL)
Macon Trax News Release
Rugged right winger Landon Bathe of the Macon Trax now has Calder Cup playoff experience.
Bathe, who played in 54 games for the Trax this season, and played the final three regular season games for the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League, also played in the first two playoff games for the Admirals.
Milwaukee, the top affiliate for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League, defeated the Rochester Americans two games to one in the first round qualifying series in the AHL playoffs. Bathe appeared in the Admirals 4-3 win on April 10th, and also in game two, a 6-3 loss for Milwaukee. When Wyatt Smith returned to the Milwaukee line-up for game three, that meant Bathe who was an emergency replacement, didn't play in the 6-1 series clinching victory for the Admirals on April 13th. Bathe had no points in his two playoff games, and 15 penalty minutes. He received a major and game misconduct in game two.
Milwaukee now advances to take on the Houston Aeros in a best of five series that begins on Wednesday April 16th.
Season tickets for 2003-04 are now on sale. For more information on the Trax, contact the Trax office at (478) 743-6010.
