Baseball Talent in Central Oregon on display in upcoming High School All-Star Showcase

In an attempt to provide exposure and increased visibility to the quality of baseball being played on the high desert in Central Oregon, the Bend Elks are pleased to announce the Central Oregon High School Baseball showcase, set for June 28, 2013.
Collegiate coaches from schools around the Pacific Northwest will be in attendance for the game. Schools that have confirmed to send a coach to the showcase are Seattle University, College World Series Participant Oregon State University, Oregon, Washington, Corban, Lower Columbia College, Whitman, Division 3 Champion Linfield, Saint Martin's University, Lane Community College and Chemeketa Community College. All the participants will mean that all levels of college baseball will have representation at the showcase.
The day will begin with a workout by players in the 2015 & 2016 graduating classes, then the classes of 2013 & 2014 will have their pre-game workouts leading up to first pitch at 7:05 p.m. against the Central Oregon Bucks, a team comprised of collegiate baseball players that play an independent summer baseball schedule and serve as a feeder into the Bend Elks organization. The High School All-Stars will be coached by the Bend Elks coaching staff of Joe Dominiak, Alan Embree, and Scott Anderson.
Among the local high schools that will be sending players to participate are Bend High School, Summit High School, Mountain View High School, Ridgeview High School, Madras High School, Sisters High School, and LaPine High School
The following is the list of events for the day.
2:30-4:00 p.m. Class of 2015 & 2016 Scout workout
5:30-7:00 p.m. Pre-Game workout for Central Oregon High School All-Stars
7:05 p.m. First Pitch vs. Central Oregon Bucks
Admission will be free for the game, and full concessions will be open inside the stadium. Outside food and beverage will not be permitted inside the stadium.
