Bend, OR - Tyler Servais had an RBI double and Adam Grantham delivered a 3 run home run in the bottom of the 1st inning as the Bend Elks scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning in route to a 6-2 victory.
Hunter Raley, from Murray State College, made his Bend Elks debut for the Bend Elks Friday, lasting 4 innings, in which he gave up no runs on three hits while striking out 4. The Bend Elks bullpen would take the game the rest of the way, as they surrendered two runs in the top of the 7th inning as Ryan Littlefield and Kyle Knigge drove in RBI singles to score Konnor Armijo and Ryan Aquilar respectively, tallying the only runs of the game for the Black Bears.
At the plate for the Elks, Tanner Ring and Servais had 2 hits each, Kyle Giusti went 1-2 with 2 walks, an RBI and scored a run to help pace the Elks (6-3), who took 2 of 3 games from the Black Bears in the victory.
The Elks return to action Saturday night for the start of a 3 game/2 day series against the Kitsap Blue Jackets. First pitch Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
