BOISE, ID- Today, members of the Boise Hawks baseball team and Saint Alphonsus Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff joined together to announce the monies raised from the "Baseball for Babies" fundraiser. With staff, patients, and Humphrey the Hawk on hand, Boise Hawks team representatives presented Saint Alphonsus with a check in the amount of $3,000. The proceeds from the Boise Hawks' "Baseball for Babies" jersey raffle will benefit Saint Alphonsus NICU educational programs which helps parents and families of our most critically ill babies in the region.

This was the second year of the "Baseball for Babies" fundraiser, a raffle program that provided baseball fans an opportunity to support programs and services that benefit the smallest Saint Alphonsus patients and their families. Raffle tickets were sold at each of the Friday night home games, with a winner drawn at each of these games. Winners received a special practice jersey sporting the Chicago Cubs logo and the Boise Hawk player name and number on the back.
